Choosing To Be Happy | What To Do With Your Life

I've been wanting to write this post for a while now but never really found the right time. Also I didn't know if my blog was the right place to post it because I never really do posts like this. However, after thinking about it this little space I've made on the internet is for me to express whatever I want and at the moment this is what I want to post. You better get yourself a cuppa for this post because it's going to be a long one!
For a while now I've been playing with the idea of choosing to be happy. Don't get me wrong I've never got a place so bad that I've wanted to do something in the spur of the moment but recently I feel like I've just 'settled.'
One thing I've learnt over the past few months is how important it is to be happy with what you're doing. Whether that's school, college, university or work its important to be enjoying it. I started college September last year and loved it at first. However as time went on and the work piled up I realised I jut wasn't enjoying it as much as I wanted to. I was becoming more stressed and anxious than I had ever been and it just wasn't good for me. Pretty quickly my emotions started to reflect at home. I was taking it out on my family, it even got the point where I didn't realise what I was doing and how horrible I was being. I had frequent panic attacks in the evenings about going to college the next day which I knew just wasn't right but I didn't know how to change it so instead of doing something about it, I put up with it. It went on like this for a good couple of months until I decided to speak to someone about it.
It wasn't until I started to speak to my friends at college about it that I realised how unhappy I was. I still couldn't pin point what it was about college that made me so unhappy, I still can't, but at least I knew what I needed to change. Everyone kept telling me 'no one knows what to do at our age.' All I kept thinking is if that's the case why do people make us choose so young?!
I started speak to some friends from school who went on to do apprenticeships and I knew it was something I was interested in and something I wanted to do.
I started looking online right away and booked myself a couple of interviews. I had my first interview just last week but sadly didn't get the job. I was obviously down heartened at first but just knowing that I could get interviews was good enough for me. Just knowing that I could change what was making me so unhappy made me happier already.
I'm still at college right now but I'm already a lot happier knowing I can change that, even if it means sticking it out for this first year and then leaving.
I feel like I've come full circle in just a few months?? I still get anxious and stressed just as much as you probably do but ever since I've been looking at improving what I'm doing with my life my panic attacks have calmed right down. I guess that the point of this post is that if you want to be happy then you need to make sure you're enjoying life. I just wasn't enjoying what I was doing. I still don't like college but I'm willing to work hard at it because I know I've got better options after it.

Bronze & Gold Eyes

For todays post I wanted too share with you some eye products that I've been loving lately. I've been loving using creamy shadows especially in neutral golds.

Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl Liner in Bronze makes the perfect neutral eyeliner. For £3.99 its really affordable too which is great. I love lining my lash line with it then smudging it out blending it with eye shadow I would've already applied.

Bourjois Colorband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow & Liner in Beige Minimal is a lovely cheap beige shimmery eye pencil. Its perfect if you just want a quick wash of colour on your lids as you can blend it out and wear it by itself.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow  in On and On Bronze is a lovely bronzy creamy eye shadow that can be applied with either your finger or a brush. For £4.99 it lasts ages as well making it worth the money. It lasts all day too, not budging at all.

Clinique Chubby Stick for Eyes in 01 Bountiful Beige is a more expensive version of the Bourjois shadow stick. Its finish is more frosty though making it lovely in spring/summer. It also looks lovely with the Rimmel eyeliner smudged into it.

Mac Eye Shadow in Woodwinked is a powder eye shadow but I've found it looks lovely with the Rimmel eyeliner smudged into it or even pressed over the Bourjois and Clinque shadow sticks like a pigment. It does look lovely on its own though especially blended out as its a perfect summer gold.

Current Bath Favourites

For today't post I thought I would do something a little different and talk about what bath products I've been loving at the moment.

First is a shower jelly from Lush called 'Sweetie Pie.' Filled the amazing scent of blackberries it lathers up as soon as water its hit. You can use it as a body wash or even in your hair. It's really moisturising. It's really affordable as well as you can get a mini size, not just a full size.

My next favourite is Soap & Glory's Clean On Me Shower Gel. The smell of this is so lovely, subtle and gentle. It really moisturises the skin leaving it really soft and not dry. Its definitely worth the money as the product lasts ages and the quality is just amazing.

My last favourite us the Zoella 'Fizz Bar.' Similar to a bath bomb, when you put a chunk or two of this into water it fizzes away making the water silky and soft which also helps makes your skin soft. It doesn't add any colour to your bath as the chunks are white but as it moisturises your skin really well you don't really think about that.

My Spring Picks

Today's post was meant to be a February Favourites but as I'm typing this the sun is shining outside and it just doesn't feel like winter anymore! So instead I thought I would share with you my top spring picks for this year.
My first spring must have is the new Benefit mascara 'Roller Lash.' I did s full review/first impressions post here so if you want to know more about it read that. All you really need to know is that its my new favourite mascara. I prefer it over my Maybelline ones any day. It grips, curls, thickens and lengthens my lashes in just a couple of layers its that good!

My next must have is Max Factor Creme Puff Blush in 'Seductive Pink.' I bought this after hearing about Lily Pebbles rave about the range on her blog. I'm so glad I purchased this blush as it looks so natural on the skin even though its quite shimmery. This makes it perfect for spring.

I've loved Benefit's perfume 'Laugh With Me Lee Lee' for a while now but recently I've started using it daily. Its such a gentle citrusy, woody scent that it makes a lovely fresh perfume for spring. I have the mini bottle as it came in a gift set I got for my birthday but full size bottles are available.

I bought the Bourjois Colourband 2-in-1 Eyeshadow Pencil after reading Vivianna Does Makeup's post on them. I have the shade 'Beige Minimal' which is lovely light shimmery gold.It makes a good base for layering eye shadow but I personally like to wear it on its own and blend it out.

My last spring must have is the L'Oral Color Riche Mono in 'Lumiere.' The shadow is a lovely warm gold that has a subtle frost finish. I find it's best applied with its on top of a primer as that'll prevent fall down. I also use my ring finger to apply it as that'll prevent even further fall down.
